An international school in Hong Kong: IGCSE and DSE on one platform

Cambridge IGCSE mathematics and HKDSE mathematics taught side by side, with classes bound to their own syllabus edition until graduation.

Context

The school runs both the Cambridge IGCSE track and the local HKDSE track. Teachers moved between the two daily, and generic AI tools kept mixing up which syllabus a question belonged to.

What we did

  • Each class was bound to its own syllabus edition (CIE 0580 for 2025–2027, HKDSE current) and stays bound until graduation
  • Question banks are tagged by knowledge point with traceable sources, so a teacher can reuse and verify items
  • Dashboards separate the two tracks while giving the head of department one view

Outcome

  • One workspace for two curricula; no global mode switch needed
  • Department heads export reports per track for moderation meetings
  • Data belongs to the school and can be exported at contract end

Results data from the joint study will be published with the school's consent.
